When Opportunity Knocks...

In February 2005, a couple from Kentucky traveled to Oregon to research the acquisition of investment property on the Oregon coast.

After several days of searching the coastline with their Realtor, they purchased a lot in a small beachfront development just south of Newport.

Within a short period of time, the couple selected a house plan, hired a builder, and commenced construction on their newly acquired property. In the meantime, the Realtor, convinced that the properties within the development were an excellent value, helped three other clients secure lots.

Three months into the construction process, the Kentucky couple decided to "test" the market, so they listed their house for sale using the same Realtor that helped them acquire the property. Within weeks of listing the home, they accepted an offer and realized a substantial profit on a short-term investment.

Eventually the Realtor helped a developer acquire the final building phase of the beachfront development and the remaining lots were his.

The developer is currently in the midst of a successful project, and all of the properties have appreciated substantially.

Each of these buyers had two things in common:

#1: They acted when opportunity presented itself, and
#2: Their Realtor was Barbara with Greenman Properties
